Dr. Satyaprakash Ray Choudhury is a renowned Senior Consultant in the field of Surgical Gastroenterology, Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary (HPB) surgery, and liver transplantation. With over a decade of expertise, he currently serves as the Director of Dr. Satya's Liver & Gastro Care in Bhubaneswar and is also the Head of the Department of Gastrosurgery and Liver Transplant at the Institute of Medical Sciences & SUM Hospital.

Dr. Choudhury completed his MBBS from MKCG Medical College, Berhampur, followed by his postgraduate training in General and Laparoscopic Surgery from PGIMS, Rohtak. He further specialized in Surgical Gastroenterology and HPB surgery with an MCh degree from JIPMER, Pondicherry, one of India’s top institutions for superspecialty medical education. His clinical expertise spans advanced laparoscopic surgeries for gastrointestinal cancers, including esophageal, stomach, liver, and pancreatic cancers.

He has performed over 500 pancreatic surgeries and contributed significantly to the advancement of laparoscopic techniques in gastro-oncosurgery, ensuring faster recovery, minimal pain, and optimal oncological outcomes.
