With over 50 years of experience in psychiatry, I am dedicated to providing comprehensive mental health care at Fortis Hospital, Mohali. My journey began with a medical degree from Government Medical College, Jabalpur, followed by extensive training in psychiatry at PGIMER, Chandigarh. Further enhancing my expertise, I obtained my Membership from the Royal College of Psychiatrists, London, and advanced training at Guy’s Hospital and the University Hospital of South Manchester.

Throughout my career, I have focused on treating a wide range of psychiatric conditions including bipolar disorders, schizophrenia, and stress-related disorders. My approach is rooted in a deep understanding of both traditional and contemporary treatment methods. I believe in a patient-centered approach, where each individual’s unique needs are addressed with empathy and precision.

I have also contributed significantly to the field through research, having published nearly 200 papers in leading journals. My goal remains to offer the highest standard of care, integrating both clinical practice and research advancements to support the mental health and well-being of my patients.
