Dr. Banambar Ray is a distinguished leader in Critical Care Medicine and Anesthesiology, serving as the Head of the Department of Critical Care Medicine at SUM Ultimate Medicare. A graduate of MKCG Medical College, Berhampur, he earned his MD in Anesthesiology from AIIMS, New Delhi, with exemplary academic achievements. Dr. Ray’s vast career spans over three decades of clinical excellence, teaching, and institutional development.

His tenure at Tata Main Hospital, Jamshedpur, saw him establish and elevate the Critical Care and Anesthesiology departments into centers of excellence. He later spearheaded the development of critical care at Apollo Hospital, Bhubaneswar, introducing prestigious National Board and ICCM programs. With 18 years as faculty in Anesthesiology at MGM Medical College, Jamshedpur, and numerous leadership roles in professional societies, Dr. Ray has significantly influenced the field.
